Almost Home Resident Manager stands on the sidewalk in front of the entrance of Almost Home. Balloons are attached to the railings on either side of the steps that lead to the front door.

We are proud to announce that in early January, the first residents moved into their rooms in Almost Home!

Located in central Berkeley, Almost Home provides temporary, supportive housing to seven homeless and disabled residents who are in the process of securing Supplemental Security Income benefits that will allow them to obtain permanent housing.

Residents receive help with income, health care, housing navigation, and other issues. HAC outreach workers provide residents with transportation to medical appointments and visits with other service providers. The house will also feature on-site enrichment programming, such as movies and art talks.

We are honored to serve the residents of Almost Home.
