We are proud to announce that in early January, the first residents moved into their rooms in Almost Home!
Located in central Berkeley, Almost Home provides temporary, supportive housing to seven homeless and disabled residents who are in the process of securing Supplemental Security Income benefits that will allow them to obtain permanent housing.
Residents receive help with income, health care, housing navigation, and other issues. HAC outreach workers provide residents with transportation to medical appointments and visits with other service providers. The house will also feature on-site enrichment programming, such as movies and art talks.
