Information We Collect
In order to strengthen our services and provide a better experience when interacting with the Homeless Action Center, we collect data that you voluntarily enter directly into online forms on our site. You may be invited to share personal information, such as name, contact information, payment information (e.g., credit card information to process a donation), or other information on our site. Sharing this information will allow you to join our email list, make a donation, or participate in other similar online activities.
Our site is connected in a variety of ways to content hosted by third parties, including cloud hosting providers (for hosting our website), cloud email providers (for sending you updates via our mailing list), financial services and payment processors (for making online donations), links to social media sites, links to other sites, and embedded media on the site. When you access this content, third-party hosts may place web trackers on your computer, access existing web trackers that were set when you previously visited other websites, or otherwise gather information about you as you access their content. When you link to a third-party website, you should refer to that site’s privacy policies and guidance. You may use “Do Not Track” browser mechanisms, but please note that many third parties do not respond to Do Not Track settings.
The Homeless Action Center is not responsible for any privacy practices performed by other websites linked or embedded on our website.
We will not disclose or make public, without your consent, personal information collected about you, except in explicit circumstances in which disclosure is required by law, or if we determine that sharing data about you is necessary to detect, prevent, or respond to misuse or privacy and security threats.
We use donor and mailing list information for our interest in processing your contribution, including fundraising reminders and updates on our work. We will not rent or sell personal information to third-party organizations.
