Matthew joined HAC in March 2022 as a Staff Attorney. Previously, he worked as a staff attorney for Disability Rights Oregon for over three years, specializing in vocational rehabilitation and employment rights for people with disabilities. Matthew was born with a congenital disability, cerebral palsy, and spent several years surviving on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) while pursuing his education. This firsthand experience of living under the poverty line while navigating “the system” is invaluable to the work he does today. When not at HAC, Matthew runs a longstanding Dungeons and Dragons game online.
