Mary joined HAC in 2007 as a Staff Attorney. In 2009, she became a Managing Attorney, and in 2016 became HAC’s first Deputy Director. Mary has been working with clients with mental health disabilities since 2005. Prior to coming to HAC, she was a Trial Attorney at Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. Mary is particularly interested in the way trauma impacts health, and has presented trainings on Trauma-Informed Lawyering.
