Kelsey joined HAC in September 2023. During law school, she did a clinic in East Bay Community Law Center’s (EBCLC) Health and Welfare division and was a student representative to EBCLC’s Board. Prior to law school, Kelsey worked on anti-violence and criminal legal system policy with a state government in India, in the Obama Administration, and with local elected officials and community groups around the country at the Vera Institute of Justice. She has worked across economic justice issues, with an emphasis on public benefits, workers’ rights, and labor law, and is committed to serving multiracial, intergenerational movements advancing transformational, equitable economic justice and the abolition of carceral systems. Kelsey enjoys making pottery, baking, and live music and theater.
