Since joining HAC as a Staff Attorney in 2015, Dorian has dedicated herself to providing compassionate, barrier-free, and culturally competent representation to low-income and disabled members of our community. In that capacity, she has handled SSI/SSDI and other public benefits cases from initial applications through federal district court appeals. Dorian began mentoring and training new staff in 2018 and became a Managing Attorney in 2022. Prior to joining HAC, she clerked for the Hon. R. Marc Kantrowitz on the Massachusetts Court of Appeals and served on the Supreme Judicial Court Advisory Committee on Massachusetts Evidence Law. Dorian has other past legal and law-related experience with U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, Rhode Island Public Defender, and Rhode Island Legal Services. She has lived in the Bay Area since 2012 with her husband, Peter, and their two children, Sean and Ryan. In her free time, Dorian enjoys cooking and hiking with her Australian Shepherd, “Rosalie.”
